So I gave in to a fangirl tendency and watched "New Moon".
I am VERY disappointed in myself, but at least there was some native eye candy in the movie, which makes me feel a lot better.
The fight scenes were pretty cool. My favorite was the wolf one.
Dakota Fanning's character, Jane, was deliciously evil.
Bella was a freaking tease with wolf boy Jacob Black.
Hmm..what else?
Oh, when Jacob Black shucked off his t-shirt and bared his chest, the movie theater audience made some appreciative "oh's" and someone even wolf-whistled (pun intended).
The Bella/Edward kisses was a bit awkward. I can't decide if it was because of the angle the camera filmed them kissing or the way they actually kissed. It was just...yeah, awkward.
Read some reviews that said the teen characters needed to be energized or jump started because the movie was kinda lifeless. Ouch.
My only complaint about the movie was the absence of Leah Clearwater, who is the very first female werewolf of that tribe. All the werewolves before had always been male. Plus she is part of an interesting story that involves her ex-boyfriend Sam, who is the alpha of the pack, and her cousin Emily.
Twilight werewolves have this thing called imprinting, like how baby ducks imprint on whatever they see first when they break out of the shell and they follow whatever it is around. The person a werewolf imprints on is like the werewolf's other half, or soulmate. The werewolf will then spend the rest of its life protecting that person and/or being with that person. You know, kind of whatever that person decides them to be.
Anywho, so Leah and Sam were together in high school for a long while, but when Sam changed, Emily came to visit Leah and Sam imprinted on Emily. Therefore breaking up Sam and Leah, and Sam gets with Emily. Then Leah changed, binding her even more tightly to Sam than she wants because he rules the pack she is now part of.
But, I'm of the opinion, now that I think more about Leah's absence, that this could totally be a separate movie to the Twilight saga. Adding in Leah to "New Moon" would not have done her character or story justice.
And I'm done being a fangirl.

Halloween Costume
So Halloween is upon us once again.
And family tragedy has pushed any costume thoughts out of my head, so I had no idea whatsoever if I was even going to dress up anyway.
After tossing around ideas all week, I have decided to be some sort of cave woman/huntress. I don't sew, but I do wield a mean glue gun.
So:
- one shoulder sheath dress (probably in brown)
- fuzzy arm guards
- a furry belt
- brown flats
- a bag of some kind
- a spear
- a lion pelt is in the cards (he smiles, don't judge).
At this late hour, I'm probably going to be rushing around trying to get it together, but I'll have something by Saturday. Maybe I'll even post pictu
Devious Journal Entry
I've written in past journals about taking care of my uncle.
In the early hours of September 29, 2011, he passed away.
I don't...I feel gutted.
He was the person who pretty much raised me and my brother and taught us about art and music and movies.
I can't even imagine the words to say how much he meant to me and my family.
There are none.
No More!
This move is taking FOREVER!!!
And I miss my wi-fi. Have been at other house since Tuesday, so no Twitter updates. Am addicted to that thing more than fanfiction, lol, which is pretty serious cuz I'm almost fanatic about my fanfiction and the plethora of fandoms I wander around in. How the hell did I get this much crap? I want to seriously downsize. The only things I would keep would be an Army surplus duffel bag of clothes and a few boxes of DVDs and CDs. I'll get an e-reader or Kindle if I want to read.
Well, back to the hell of gathering small trinkets that I'd rather toss in a bag than a box and call it a day.
Laters, you little devian
